Dr Vinod Khelgi is a dual-trained Specialist consultant in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. Vinod has gained extensive experience working in many Renal and General Medicine units across Queensland, Tasmania and South Australia, chief amongst these include Royal Adelaide Hospital, Sunshine Coast Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital and Logan Hospital. He is based in Brisbane and is working as a Consultant Nephrologist at Logan Hospital.
Vinod is passionate about building long term healthy relationships with patients and their families and strives very hard in providing a patient-centred approach in the overall management of care. He strongly believes in a multi-disciplinary approach incorporating General Practitioners, Specialists and Allied health care professionals to provide care.
Vinod is fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada, and with his understanding of their culture is well equipped to care for individuals from these areas and backgrounds. Vinod is Associate Clinical Lecturer at the University of Queensland and has an interest in education and actively participates in the training of junior doctors and medical students. He is also a member of Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology (ANZSN), American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and has Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
